West Virginia State Penitentiary was in operation from 1866-1995, when it was officially turned into a museum for the public.  Arguably one of the most well known inmates, artist Billy Foster was commissioned by the penitentiary to complete several murals depicting life in rural West Virginia.

Reproductions of these masterpieces on canvas are exclusively available from Loup Creek Art.  Although the public can view these works while touring the museum in Moundsville, a unique Billy Foster print on canvas will complement any collector's art pieces.
